- 200g raw split peas
- 950ml water
- 20 ml lemon juice or apple cider vinegar
- Optional: salt
Instructions
- Rinse the split peas thoroughly and soak them in water overnight.
- Blend everything in a powerful blender.
- Pour the mixture into a large pot.
- Cook over medium heat for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring, until it reaches a relatively thick consistency.
- Add the lemon juice or vinegar, then turn off the heat.
- Pour into a mold and let it sit in the fridge for a few hours.
- Unmold and cook like store-bought tofu.
Notes
I love marinating it and then stir-frying it in a wok, or breading it and cooking it in the air fryer! It also works great in curries, skewers, or even salads.
