Ingredients
285g wheat flour
180ml water
1 tbsp olive oil (10g)
1 tsp turmeric
5g dry yeast
1 pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a large bowl, pour the flour and make a small well in the center.
- Add the oil, turmeric, and yeast into the well.
- Gradually add the water while gently mixing the ingredients together.
- Mix until everything is well incorporated.
- Transfer the dough onto a work surface and knead (add a bit of flour if necessary to work with the dough).

- Knead again and shape the dough into two small buns of your desired size and shape.
- Let them rest for 45 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Brush the buns with some plant-based milk and sprinkle a few seeds on top.
- Bake at 200°C for about 15 minutes. Feel free to adjust the baking time to your preferred level of doneness.
- Enjoy!
Notes
I love making buns on rainy Sundays. That way, I can enjoy burgers on the following days if I feel like it. You can also freeze the buns (just remember to cut them in half first) and enjoy them whenever you like.
